This website presents content created by students in DGST 101: Intro to Digital Studies at the University of Mary Washington. In this class, students have been given the challenge of sacrificing some media technology device, taking it apart, and figuring out where all of the components come from. The result, hopefully, is an "origin story" for their device that highlights the global flows of resources, labor, and commerce that underly all of our devices.
