The screen was cited as being 50% larger than the previous Game Boy, and the screen resolution was 60% higher than previous models due to a new component, the reflective TFT (Thin Film Transitor) color LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). The TFT color LCD uses a high-contrast white panel, which is the main component boosting the screen resolution. On the back of the LCD screen we observed the SHARP logo, and under the logo "MADE IN JAPAN" was written. Upon a quick Google search, we determined that only one SHARP factory is present in Japan, and we found that address by typing in "SHARP near Japan" on Google maps, and clicking on the one that was listed as "factory".
