HTC One SV Mobile Phone
View FullscreenWe had the opportunity to dissesemble this phone that would no longer turn on. The HTC One SV is an Andriod phone that was orignially bought from Boost Mobile. When we were pulling apart the phone we were able to take the back over off and remove the battery. After that, we unscrewed the 6 screws that held the frame of the phone to the touchscreen of the phone. Once we removed that we were able to pull apart other bits of the phone until we gathered 10 parts. The back facing camera, the front facing camera, the charger port, the actaul touch screen portion of the phone, the SD card port, the motherboard, the flex strip, the battery, touch screen connector, and lastly flex strip. Researching the parts were a little harder than we thought, but we were able to find the specs and uses of each one that we had. We tried to narrow each down to a specific part of Taiwan, because the phone says "Made in Taiwan" but we were unable to find the specific factory. HTC made most of the part we found but one had the logo for the company Ichia, which is also based in Taiwan and was only found on the component that connects the touchscreen display to the motherboard of the phone.
Although there were plenty of parts that had series of letters and numbers, as well as a one that had a hand written number "3," and one with a stamp that was in Chinese characters, we weren't able to track down what each of these events meant.
